The World of Hip-Hop Dance - DIA CLONES!!! Roll Out!!!

For my social investigation project I picked the topic of hip-hop dance, I picked this particular subject to investigate because I believe with televisions shows like America’s Best Dance Crew and So You Think You Can Dance? Do not show enough to its viewers, the amount of work dancers put in to get to where they are in dance. So I wanted the viewers of dance to see what goes on behind the scenes from a local dance crew that was put together by students at the UofA, called Dia Clones. The various images show different perspectives that a dancer would encounter while being a part of a dance crew.

From learning a technical choreographed piece, to adapting to the environment filled with all kinds of dancers at try-outs, to finally auditioning in front of a panel of judges that will determine if your fate within the crew. I hope my audience sees that these dancers truly put in an abundant amount of energy, dedication, and thought into doing something they love.  That help produce the final performance we all see on stage.
